Probi through its US subsidiary a Probi USA Inc. completed the acquisition of operations of the US probiotic firm TNTGamble, operating as Nutraceutix, for a preliminary cash purchase price of USD 105 million on a cash and debt free basis. The acquisition aimed at increasing Probi's market in the North America which is the largest and fastest-growing probiotic dietary supplements market in the globe.  As a result of the acquisition company has enhanced scale, geographic footprint, and capability base and value chain presence

As the acquisition combines proven, proprietary and patented delivery technology from Nutraceutix with Probi’s well-documented strain portfolio, it is anticipated to offer novel, differentiated probiotics products.  Following the acquisition of Nutraceutix, the company launched the first product Probi Select in May 2017 

Probi and Nutraceutix’ suppliers and partners are expected to benefit from a new global footprint and broader distribution channels, new research, development and project opportunities, strong expected business growth and continued strategic relationships with the new company.

As per the statement from the Probi, the two companies' 2015 net sales would have totalled about USD 62.3 million.
