Lallemand NZ (trading as Vitec Nutrition), and a local player, Nutritech International merged their business to become the dominant supplier of animal nutrition technologies in that market. 

The merged business named Nutritech International Limited is majorly controlled and owned by its New Zealand based management team and shareholders, with Lallemand Animal Nutrition having a minority strategic shareholding.

About Nutritech International: 

Founded in 1915, Nutritech International offers a wide range of animal nutrition products as well as forage additives, liquid fertilizers and maize seeds to farmers in New Zealand and the animal feed industry.  Company offers a broad range of “off the shelf” products. Company employed 24 employees and offers technical and sales support from Southland to Northland.

Vitec Nutrition: 

Acquired by Lallemand Animal Nutrition, Vitec Nutrition was founded in 1997 to supply a range of feed additives and nutritional advice to the NZ feed industry. IN 2011, Vitec Nutrition legal entity was merged into Lallemand NZ Limited. Company distributes Lallemand’s portfolio of LEVUCELL yeasts & Sill-All forage additives, Pancosma’s palatants and trace minerals, premixes, by-pass fats, ionophores, minerals, rumen modifiers & other functional supplements.
